Cumberland County Department of Human Services
Mission Statement
The County Department of Human Services is committed to implementing, coordinating and improving the system of human services through the use of federal, state and county funds. At the county level, the office serves as the grants management office through which many statewide initiatives are operationalized.
State regulations require that there be local advisory committees of providers and concerned citizens established to assist in plan development, resource allocation and program monitoring. Often through the committees and boards Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are issued by the department for a new service. The advisory bodies are listed below.
